| ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT |
| We are a full service paid fire and rescue department. Midlego City Fire Department utilizes 10 Paramedic Engines, 1 ALS Ambulance, and 2 Truck companies to protect a population of 60,000 residents and covers 85 square miles. The Fire Chief is responsible for 200 career members that include 116 Paramedics, 8 Intermediate Emergency Medical Technicians, and 76 Basic Emergency Medical Technicians. We also have 24 Technical Rescue Technicians, as well as 200 Hazmat Technicians. The Technical Rescue Technicians are divided up among Paramedic Truck 1 having 6 Tech's and Squad 49 having the remaining 18. |
